JOUMANA AZZAM

Admitted to the Beirut Bar Association in 1991. Attained her Bachelors in Law, LLB at the Lebanese University in Beirut, and graduated with a B.A with honors in Political Science from the Lebanese American University. She joined, worked and is still registered with Jaber Law Firm, one of the Lebanese largest law firms where she gained experience in corporate and commercial practices as well as in litigation. She directed many litigations and company setups in Beirut.She has expertise in setting up a variety of companies, advocating in all courts, advising and drafting court documents, handling lawsuits dealing mainly with commercial law, corporate law, real estate law, rent law, family law and criminal law. She conducted legal researches and studies in the field of general corporate law, commercial law, criminal law, labor law, real estate law, personal statute law, administrative law. She has attended over one-hundred legal seminars and lectures held at the Beirut Bar Association, and participated in training courses certified by both Beirut Bar Association & United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights Middle East Regional Office, on United Nations Mechanisms of Human rights, participated as well in certified training sessions related to conflict resolution, held by CRESTCOM ARABIA, I T Q A N Training centre in Beirut. Joumana has published many legal articles in the Legal Journal of the Beirut Bar Association. She was a Member at the legal Woman committee at the Bar Association dealing and advising on legal women rights. She is advising and assisting numerous multinational organizations and international clients in establishing different types of legal entities in accordance with the Lebanese & UAE Companies Commercial laws, and assisting in re-structuring local/ governmental and non-governmental companies in Lebanon & the UAE.
